I was going through the pictures in my phone the other day and came across photos from a day trip to Kew Gardens in September and thought I'd share some with you. I love Kew Gardens, or anything botanical to be honest - my favourite way to spend the day is walking through a beautiful park or going on a country walk/ drive. Living in London can get a bit too much for the mind sometimes and going to Kew really felt like I was in a beautiful village rather than in London. Apologies for the quality of the pictures, they were taken on my phone as I didn't take my camera with me *slaps wrist*.

Look at these trees! They were wrapped up with loads of crochet squares and shapes and looked amazing, soooo colourful. I'm tempted to do this when I have my own house one day...proper granny style with my cats.

This spiral staircase looks magical nestled in this indoor forest, I can imagine it looking incredible wrapped in fairy lights.

Pretty sure some of these Lily Pads were bigger than me...

On our way out we stumbled across the Gin and Tonic Garden, where you could have loads of different types of Gin, we had the plum flavoured one and oh my it was amazing!!!

I wanted to take this little guy home with me, but he proved to be a bit evasive...

All in all, it was a lovely day and we were really lucky with the weather - although having said that i'd love to come back during Autumn/ Winter time as I can imagine the park would feel quite nostalgic...

I'm now thinking about my next drive somewhere...any suggestions?
